Big Cat Energy Corporation Expands Board of Directors
Upton, Wyoming (January 12, 2010) Big Cat Energy Corporation
(www.bigcatenergy.com) (“Big Cat”) (BCTE: OTCBB), supplier of the ARID Aquifer Recharge Injection Systems, is pleased to announce the addition of two members to its Board of Directors. Joining the Big Cat Energy team as independent Directors are Thomas E. Wharton, Jr. and David D. Brennan.
“The addition of these qualified and respected members to our Board provides Big Cat with valuable additional business prospective that will enable us to enhance and expand our current business strategy beyond the Powder River Basin,” noted Tim Barritt, President and CEO of Big Cat. “We look forward to utilizing their experience and knowledge as we plan and implement our growth initiatives in 2010 and beyond.”
Since 1998, Mr. Wharton has served as Managing Partner for Wharton Consulting, a Wyoming based company focused on sales and marketing consulting services. Also during that time he served as President/Owner of Herbal Remedies USA LLC, a national health and wellness product distributor, from 2001-2009. From 2004 to 2006, he acted as interim CEO/Director for Isecuretrac Corp., a Nebraska company. Prior to founding Wharton Consulting, Mr. Wharton served as President of Poppe Tyson Interactive from 1996-1998 and as CFO for Poppe Tyson/BJKE from 1987-1996, both companies of New York. Mr. Wharton received a Business Administration degree from Creighton University in 1983. Currently, Wharton Consulting and Mr. Wharton provide sales and marketing consulting services to Big Cat.
Since 1999, Mr. Brennan has been the owner of Brennan Engineering Inc. (BEI), a Wyoming based oil and gas technology development and service company. Mr. Brennan is very active in the Gillette, Wyoming area and has long-standing business relationships through BEI that include Marathon Oil, Devon Energy, Williams Production, RMT Company, Fidelity E&P Company and Yates Petroleum. Prior to BEI, Mr. Brennan served as a field systems engineer for Cummins Engine Company, of Indiana from 1997-1999. Mr. Brennan received an Electrical Engineering degree from North Dakota State University in 1997.
